Celebrated Mexican League Clubs Set to Meet at Bonney Field in Sacramento on June 27

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento soccer fans will have the opportunity to see two storied Mexican clubs, Deportivo Toluca FC (Toluca FC) and Club de Fútbol Universidad Nacional AC (Pumas UNAM), when they play each other at Bonney Field on Saturday, June 27. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. The match is part of the Socio MX Tour presented by Coors Light.

Over the last half-decade, Toluca FC and Pumas UNAM have cemented their place amongst Mexico's greatest clubs, each claiming a league title and remaining near the top of the table throughout. Both clubs are expected to bring their first teams, as this Saturday night showcase will provide Sacramento fans a chance to see the world's game played at its highest level. The match will air in over 20 countries through SocioMX's cup partner networks of ESPN and Estrella TV.

Pumas UNAM, one of the most popular teams in Mexican soccer, are based out of Ciudad Universitaria in Mexico City. The capital club has won seven league titles, including four since the turn of the century. Pumas also claimed the CONCACAF Champions League three times - 1980, 1982, 1989. Toluca FC, based in Toluca, Mexico, has won ten league championships, and two continental titles, claiming the CONCACAF Champions Cup in 1968 and 2003.
