LHV Game Notes

May 26, 2015 - International League (IL1)
Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

After rain forced a suspension* in the opener of a seven-game, South Division road trip last night, the IronPigs (18-27) will finish Game 1 and play Game 2 of a four-game series against the fourth-place Gwinnett Braves (19-25) at Coolray Field... With a 7-5 home loss to Charlotte on Sunday, the Pigs had their season-high, six-game winning streak snapped -- one victory shy of tying the franchise record. Even though they fell short in sweeping the series with the Knights, the Pigs still took the set, 3-1, and have emerged victorious in eight of their last 11 contests. In fact, they've gone 12-7 since starting 6-20 through May 4... The Braves -- Atlanta's top affiliate -- were shutout 4-0 in Columbus on Sunday, winding up with a split of a four-game series and a 3-4 West Division road trip. Gwinnett has gone just 4-10 since taking two-of-three in Lehigh Valley from May 8-10.

First Pitch of the continuation of Game 1 is scheduled for 5:05 p.m.

*SUSPENDED GAME:

Last night's game was suspended with GWN leading 1-0 in the B2 with 2-on and 0-out... The frame started with LHP Anthony Vasquez yielding back-to-back singles to OF Adonis Garcia and OF Cedric Hunter before an RBI-2B by SS Sean Kazmar. The game was then suspended before a pitch was thrown to 1B Garrett Kleinknecht... Game 2 will be a 7-inning affair and will start roughly 30 minutes after Game 1.
