Saskatchewan Roughriders News Release
The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today that national linebacker Akwasi Antwi has signed with the team. As per club policy, details of the contract were not released.
Antwi (6'0 - 254) is a three year CFL veteran after originally being selected by the Calgary Stampeders in the 4th round (26th overall) of the 2011 draft. The Mount Allison product spent his first two seasons with the Stamps before being traded to the Toronto Argonauts where he didn't see any game action during the 2013 season.
Last year, the 30-year-old Toronto native played 18 regular season games with the B.C. Lions, after signing as a free agent in February, 2014, where he finished sixth in the league with 21 special teams tackles.
