vs. the Indians

This is the first meeting between Indianapolis and Buffalo this season. In 2014, the Herd went 4-4 against the Indians, taking three of four at Coca-Cola Field. Over the past 10 seasons, Buffalo has gone just 29-51 against Indianapolis, losing 12 out of the last 20 series.

Randy Wolf

LHP RANDY WOLF makes his ninth start of the season today. The southpaw lowered his IL-leading ERA to 0.94 by allowing no runs over seven innings on Wednesday in Columbus. Wolf's 0.94 ERA is 5th-best across all of affiliated baseball among qualifying pitchers.

Burning Up

INF ANDY BURNS recorded his first career Triple-A home run with a three-run shot in yesterday's loss to Toledo. He also tallied a double in the contest and has now hit in 16 of the past 18 games he has played. His .273 average in the month of May is third-best on the team for qualifying players.

Matt Hague

INF MATT HAGUE was named the International League Batter of the Week for the period between May 18-24. Hague went 12-29 (.414) with eight doubles, nine RBI, and four runs scored in that time. He currently leads the IL in hits (57), doubles (15), RBI (31). He also ranks 2nd with a .350 batting average and a .428 on-base pct.

Roster Move

The Blue Jays have activated SS JOSE REYES off his MLB injury rehab assignment with the Bisons. Reyes hit .364 (4-11) with two RBI and two runs scored in three games for the Herd. INF MUNENORI KAWASAKI has been optioned to Buffalo by the Blue Jays.

Pitching Staff

The Bisons' team ERA of 2.59 is almost a half a run better than any other team in the league (Norfolk, 2.96). Opponents have hit just .237 against Herd pitching with only 17 home runs in 1,458 at-bats.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (20-26) avoided a series sweep to Seattle on Sunday by beating the Mariners, 8-2. Aaron Sanchez allowed seven hits and just two runs in 6.2 innings of work. Former Bison Chris Colabello went 2-4 at the dish. The Blue Jays begin a four-game series against the White Sox tonight (7:07 p.m.).
