OF Adron Chambers Activated, LHP Daniel Schlereth Placed on Disabled List

DES MOINES, Iowa (May 24, 2015) - The Chicago Cubs made a series of roster moves affecting Iowa's active roster for today's game against Tacoma at Principal Park. Outfielder Adron Chambers was activated from the bereavement list, while left-handed pitcher Daniel Schlereth has been placed on the 7-Day disabled list.

Chambers, 28, is hitting .239 (17-for-71) with five doubles, 13 walks and two stolen bases for Iowa this season. He has been away from the team since being placed on bereavement May 15.

Schlereth, 29, has no record and has pitched 1.1 scoreless innings over two appearances. He has walked two and struck out one since joining Iowa from Extended Spring Training May 18.

With these moves, Iowa's active roster is at 25 plus two players on the disabled list.
