May 23, 2015 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
El Paso Chihuahuas News Release

Justin Nicolino allowed two Chihuahuas runs in seven innings of work Saturday, as the New Orleans Zephyrs beat El Paso 4-2. Jason Lane allowed three runs in a six-inning start for El Paso.

It was a pitchers' duel early, as neither side had a runner reach second base until the bottom of the fourth.

New Orleans scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth on an RBI infield hit by Brady Shoemaker and an off-the-wall double by Scott Sizemore. The Chihuahuas cut the 2-0 lead in half when Cody Decker hit a solo homer in the top of the fifth. El Paso then tied the game on a Brett Wallace sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth.

Shoemaker led off the bottom of the sixth inning with a solo home run, giving New Orleans a 3-2 lead. The Zephyrs added an unearned insurance run in the bottom of the seventh on a two-out RBI single by Shoemaker.

Melvin Upton Jr. went 0-for-2 with a walk and played seven innings as his rehab assignment continued Saturday.
