Lakeland, FL - Raph Rhymes drove a ground rule double to left field to plate the winning run for the Flying Tigers (20-21) in the 10th inning as the Marauders (21-21) fell 4-3 at Joker Marchant Stadium Friday night. RHP Felipe Gonzalez (L, 2-4) took the loss in his second inning on the hill in relief.

The game went back and forth during the regular nine innings. SS JaCoby Jones knotted the game 1-1 with a solo home run off Locke St. John in the sixth inning. LF Barrett Barnes tripled after the home run and scored on a single by 2B Erich Weiss to put Bradenton up 2-1.

LHP Cody Dickson surrendered the lead back to Lakeland in the home half of the sixth inning, but that 3-2 advantage was short lived. CF Justin Maffei singled home the tying run in the top of the seventh inning. The score held 3-3 until Rhymes' heroics in extra innings.

NOTES: The game began at 6:36 p.m. under partly cloudy skies, 94 degrees, and wind blowing 9 mph in from left field ... The Marauders drop to 1-4 in extra inning games ... TOMORROW: The Marauders head back to Joker Marchant Stadium for the third game of the series at 5:00 p.m.. ...
