Tomorrow's match is the 53rd meeting between Columbus and Chicago and the first of 2015. Crew SC is 14-24-14 all-time against the Fire, and is 9-10-6 against the Men in Red in Columbus. Last season, The Black & Gold went 1-0-1 against Chicago in League play, including a 2-0 victory at MAPFRE Stadium nearly one full year ago on May 24th.

In its last match at MAPFRE Stadium on May 9 against Seattle Sounders FC, Crew SC's passing accuracy as a team was 86.8%. Of the five best single-match passing accuracy performances League-wide this season, the Black & Gold have now recorded four of them, all of which have come at MAPFRE Stadium. Previously, Columbus registered matches with passing accuracies of 88.1% (vs. Orlando City SC, April 18), 87.9% (vs. Philadelphia Union, April 25) and 87.1% (vs. Toronto FC, March 14).

Crew SC's Kei Kamara is currently tied with Seattle Sounders FC's Clint Dempsey atop the MLS goal-scoring leaderboard with seven tallies. The Sierra Leone native is also tied with Vancouver Whitecaps FC's Octavio Rivero as League leader in total shots (43). Among all players with at least 120 minutes played, Kamara's goals-per-90-minute rate of 0.80 ranks fifth in MLS.

The Black & Gold's 13 goals in five home matches this campaign (2.60 goals-per-game) is on-pace to be the highest-ever goals-per-game ratio by Crew SC in the history of MAPFRE Stadium. Overall, the club's 49 goals in 16 home matches at Ohio Stadium back in 1998 (3.06 goals-per-game) remains the record set by the Black & Gold in Columbus.

Crew SC's next goal at home will be the 500th home regular-season goal in team history. Dating back to 1996, the Black & Gold have registered 499 home goals in 302 regular season contests. Rob Smith scored the team's 100th home goal against the MetroStars on September 6, 1998, Dante Washington scored the team's 200th such goal against the San Jose Earthquakes on May 15, 2002, Stefani Miglioranzi recorded the team's 300th home goal against the Kansas City Wizards on June 20, 2007 while Tommy Heinemann registered the team's 400th home goal against the Colorado Rapids on June 20, 2011.
