Minnesota Lynx Gear up for 2015 Season

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx will gear up for the 2015 season with Two Weeks to Tip-Off, a series of events around the Twin Cities beginning Friday, May 22. Lynx players, coaches and staff will be involved in marketing and community events for two consecutive weeks leading up to the June 5 home opener against the Tulsa Shock. The Lynx will also be taking part in Lynx Cares events in the community, in which Lynx players and coaches make an extra effort to give back to the community.
The following are some of the event highlights:
Wednesday, May 27: Members of the Lynx staff will be participating in a park cleaning event at Lyndale Park in conjunction with Minneapolis Parks & Recreation. Staff members will be doing gardening work including weeding, garden clean-up and mulching.
Friday, May 29: Monica Wright, Rebekkah Brunson, Amber Harris, Tricia Liston and Devereaux Peters will be surprising a group of children from Wishes & More and their families at the Minnesota Science Museum.
Monday, June 1: Fans will have the first chance to see the 2015 Lynx in person for their preseason game against the New York Liberty. Tip-off is 7 p.m. at Target Center.
Wednesday, June 3: Minnesota Lynx players and coaches will be hosting their third annual Tip-A-Lynx sponsored by Coors Light, waiting on fans' tables and pouring their drinks at The Loop in St. Louis Park from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The night's food and beverage sales will go to support the Lynx FastBreak Foundation.
Friday, June 5: Friday begins with members of the Lynx staff serving breakfast in the skyway outside of the Timberwolves offices beginning at 7 a.m., leading up to Minnesota's home opener at the Target Center against the Tulsa Shock at 7 p.m.
