Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (14-26) wrap up their seven-game, North Division road trip with the finale of a three-game series against the fifth-place Syracuse Chiefs (16-23) at NBT Bank Stadium... With a pair of wins last night (2-1; 5-4), the Pigs have already taken the three-game series and have won four straight games against Syracuse. At 4-2, they've also clinched a winning swing. The Pigs, who are currently enjoying their best eight-game stretch of the season (5-3), have gone 8-6 since starting 6-20 through May 4... The Chiefs -- Washington's top affiliate -- have now lost their last four games overall and are just 2-6 in their last eight contests at NBT. Still, the Chiefs are 9-9 in May after starting 7-14 in April... The Pigs also won the first series between these teams April 13-15 (2-1
LHP Anthony Vasquez (1-0, 2.13 in AA) will make his LHV debut in a start against RHP Mitch Lively (0-0, 2.21).
First Pitch is at 1:05 p.m.
The Pigs next start a four-game homestand Thursday -- all against the first-place Charlotte Knights (22-16), who are 8-3 in their last 11 affairs.
