EDMONTON, AB (May 19, 2015) - There will be all to play for on Wednesday evening as FC Edmonton and Vancouver Whitecaps FC meet for the final leg go the Amway Canadian Championship (ACC), May 20 at Clarke Field at 8:00 p.m. The two-leg semifinal currently stands at a 1-1 scoreline, determined on aggregate goals.

The two teams will meet for the second time in a week after grinding out a 1-1 tie in Vancouver on May 13 at BC Place. The Eddies stunned their Major League Soccer (MLS) opponent with an early goal in the fifth minute from Tomi Ameobi and held that lead until late in the second half when a lapse in the 87th minute resulted in a Vancouver equalizer forced home from veteran Gershon Koffie.

The series now shifts to Clarke Field for the decisive leg, with the winner moving on to face MLS side Montreal Impact in the ACC finals, August 12 and 26. Both the Eddies and 'Caps are looking to rebound from disappointing performances against the Seattle Sounders and San Antonio Scorpions, respectively.

On offence, Ameobi has been stellar and had recorded goals in six-straight-matches before sitting out Sunday's contest. The six-foot-four striker leads the Eddies with goals this season. In addition to Ameobi, the Eddies feature multiple threats throughout their midfield. Assist leader Lance Laing-a recent recipient of a call-up to the Jamaican national team-has been deadly in the attacking third from the left side.

"I think this Wednesday's match is an exciting opportunity for everyone at the club," Miller explained. "The combination of the atmosphere in the stadium, the crowd and being televised nationally are all incentives for our players to produce a strong result. We're at the front at the moment, we just need to remain as positive as we were at BC Place. We would like to thank the fans who supported us this past Sunday...hopefully they get behind us on Wednesday night."

The ACC's are an annual tournament that pits the five professional Canadian soccer clubs against one another for the right to host the Voyageurs Cup. Neither FC Edmonton or Whitecaps FC have ever won the tournament.

Kick-off in the match is set for 8:00 MT at Clarke Field. The match will be televised nationally in Canada on both Sportsnet World and Sportsnet One. Fans in the United States with a subscription to MLS LIVE can stream the game on a variety of devices.

Tickets to the match are going quickly and can be purchased HERE or by calling 780.700.2600. For more information, please visit www.fcedmonton.com. Tickets purchased from the match postponed on May 6 will be able to be used for entry on May 20.
