Paulino Added to Iowa, Wagner Transferred to Double-A Tennessee

OKLAHOMA CITY (May 19, 2015) - The Chicago Cubs today announced a series of roster moves that affect Iowa's active roster for tonight's game at Oklahoma City. Right-handed pitcher Felipe Paulino joined Iowa from Extended Spring Training,

and right-hander Michael Wagner has been reassigned to Double-A Tennessee.

Paulino, 31, signed a minor league contract with Chicago on May 11. The righty has seen time in the big leagues with Houston, Colorado, Kansas City and the Chicago White Sox.

Paulino most recently went 0-2 with a 11.29 ERA (23ER/18.1IP) in four starts with the White Sox to begin the 2014 season. He made five more starts at Triple-A Charlotte, going 0-3 with a 9.61 ERA (21ER/19.2IP) before being placed on the disabled list and missing the remainder of the season with right rotator cuff inflammation.

Wagner, 23, was promoted to Iowa from Extended Spring Training April 20. The right-hander went 0-1 with a 6.97 ERA (8ER/10.1IP) in six appearances for the I-Cubs.
