Last Saturday, quarterback Darakatatalib Britt completed 18 of 26 passes (69.2) for 233 yards, 5 touchdowns and 0 interceptions- recording a 136.7 passer rating as the Wolves thrashed the Axemen: 70-25 . A look inside the numbers reveals that Britt is keeping pace with some of the IFL's top passers in two vital statistical areas: TD-percentage and TD-to-INT ratio.
The Wolves 70-25 victory over the Axemen was significant for a number of reasons:
The Wolves scored 70 points- setting a new franchise record. The Wolves won by 45 points- the largest victory in franchise history. Britt threw 5 touchdown passes, ran for another and recorded a 136.7 passer rating.
After taking a look inside the numbers, it is clear that Britt's success throwing the football is beginning to gain momentum- ranking him amongst the top passers in the IFL this season. Britt currently ranks 3rd in in TD-percentage and 2nd in TD-to-INT ratio.
Britt's TD-percentage is less than 4.0 percentage points away from Lorenzo Brown, who ranks No. 1 in the IFL this season. Although Britt has only attempted 128 passes, he has produced an astounding 19 touchdown passes.
Britt's TD-to-INT ratio has been equally impressive: 19 touchdown passes, only 3 interceptions.
With four games left in the 2015 season, the Wolves will look to build upon the momentum gained during last week's victory over the Axemen. This Saturday, Britt and the Wolves will face a tough test vs. the 7-3 Fever, who themselves are riding a three-game winning streak.
