From the Notes
Worth Every Penny: Shortstop Danny Worth has been on a hot streak since the month of May started. Through 13 games in May, Worth is hitting .436 (17-for-39) with 9 runs scored, 5 RBI, 3 doubles, 2 triples, 1 home run and 7 walks. Of the 13 games, he has 6 multi-hit games.
Danny Being Danny: It's becoming somewhat of a surprise when Reno first baseman Danny Dorn records an out at the plate. The left-handed-hitting 30-year-old notched two more hits last night, giving him 12 multi-hit games in 14 games (13 starts). His batting average "dropped" to .509 after only going 2-for-5.
Suspended a Good Thing? The Aces have had suspended games twice in franchise history. Both times they went on to win the suspended game the next day, and continued on to win the regularly-scheduled game as well. The first was July 16, 2012 at Tucson when they picked up the suspended game the following day and won, 4-1. They then won the nightcap, 3-1. The second was August 8, 2013 vs. Memphis. They won the suspended game the following day, 5-2, and went on to win the second game, 11-3.
Mike Likes May: Like his teammate Danny Worth, Mike Freeman has been on a tear in the month of May. The left-handed-hitting utilityman is batting .412 (21-for-51) in 13 games with 12 runs, 7 RBI, 2 doubles and 1 triple. He's also swiped three bases in the month, accounting for half of the Aces' stolen bases in May.
