NOW THIS IS FUN:After losing the series opener, the Sea Dogs have scored a combined 22 runs in the last two games, and can win their four-game series with the Rock Cats on Sunday afternoon at New Britain Stadium...Sea Dogs Manager Billy McMillon earned his 400th win as a minor league manager on Saturday night...Portland is seeking their first 3-game winning streak since last August 29-31...The Sea Dogs are off tomorrow and open up an 8-game/7-day homestand on Tuesday night against Altoona (Pirates affiliate).

BATS ARE ALIVE: Portland scored nine runs on 15 hits over the first 4 innings and beat the Rock Cats 9-4 on Saturday night...William Cuevas worked five strong innings on 4 hits and 2 runs to earn his team-leading, fifth win of the season...For the second consecutive game, Tim Roberson had 4 hits, going 4-for-5 with an RBI single...Portland started the game with six straight hits off losing pitcher Ryan Carpenter (3-3)...Jantzen Witte went 3-for-5, 3 RBI, finishing a double shy of the cycle...Blake Tekotte added three hits and a first-inning RBI...Kyle Kraus worked four innings for his first Double-A save.
