May 16, 2015 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
El Paso Chihuahuas News Release

Fresno's pitching staff struck out 13 El Paso Chihuahuas in the Grizzlies' 5-2 win Saturday night at Southwest University Park. El Paso starter Chris Smith allowed just one run in the loss and has surrendered only one run in his last 11.1 innings of work.

The Chihuahuas scored the game's first run on Rymer Liriano's infield single with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth. Astros' prospect Carlos Correa made a sliding play in the shortstop hole but Liriano beat the throw for an RBI single.

Fresno tied the game shortly thereafter when Domingo Santana hit a home run into the Santa Fe Pavilion in the top of the sixth to make it 1-1. The Grizzlies pushed ahead to stay when they scored three unearned runs with two outs in the top of the seventh to go ahead 4-1.

Brett Wallace hit a home run to center field to lead off the bottom of the ninth, his fourth homer of the season. Rocky Gale went 2-for-4 in the loss for El Paso.
