Sharks Activate Demarcus Robinson, Alex Carder

JACKSONVILLE - The Jacksonville Sharks announced several roster moves on Tuesday, as the team has activated defensive back Demarcus Robinson from inactive reserve and activated quarterback Alex Carder from refused to report.
The 28-year-old Robinson (6-2, 200) started each of the team's first six games this season, before being placed on inactive reserve following Jacksonville's Week 6 matchup with the Tampa Bay Storm. To this point in the season, Robinson leads the Sharks with nine pass breakups and has recorded 23.5 total tackles and one interception.
A fifth-year veteran, Robinson joined the Sharks via free agency this past offseason, having spent the previous three seasons with the New Orleans VooDoo. Robinson first broke into the Arena Football League with the Cleveland Gladiators in 2011. Including this season, Robinson has totaled 304 tackles, 46 pass breakups and 14 interceptions over the course of his AFL career.
The 25-year-old Carder (6'2", 220) first played with the Sharks in 2014, as he served as the team's backup quarterback in six games during the middle portion of the season. In limited action, Carder completed two of his three pass attempts for 19 yards, while also catching four passes for 56 yards and recording 2.5 total tackles on special teams.
Midway through the 2014 AFL campaign, Carder signed with the Canadian Football League's Ottawa Redblacks, as he then spent the 2014 CFL season on Ottawa's practice roster. The Redblacks released Carder on May 1. Previously, Carder signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent following the 2013 NFL Draft. Prior to the beginning of his professional career, Carder was a three-year starter under center at Western Michigan University.
The Sharks also announced Tuesday that the team has placed offensive lineman Wayne Tribue and quarterback Lee Chapple on inactive reserve, and transferred Johnathan Haggerty from inactive reserve to injured reserve. Following the moves, the Jacksonville roster remains at the League maximum of 24 active players.
