Bisons Announce 'Blue Jays Weekend' Events for July 11-12 at Coca-Cola Field

For a third consecutive year, the Bisons will host 'BLUE JAYS WEEKEND' at Coca-Cola Field, presented by Samuel Son & Co. Inc., as the Herd hosts the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, July 11-12. Today, the team announced all the weekend's events to celebrate their great Major League partner, the Toronto Blue Jays.

The games on Saturday, July 11 (7:05 p.m.) and Sunday, July 12 (1:05 p.m.) will be highlighted by visits and autograph sessions by former Blue Jays CECIL FIELDER and MOOKIE WILSON. The Bisons will once again wear a specially designed AFFILIATION THROWBACK JERSEY & CAP, a Bisons uniform stylized from the Toronto home jersey from the 1980s.

Each day of Blue Jays Weekend will also feature a great giveaway, presented by Samuel Son & Co. Inc. The first 3,000 fans in attendance on July 11 will receive a BISONS DUFFLE BAG. On Sunday, the first 3,000 fans will receive a YOUTH BISONS AFFILIATION JERSEY REPLICA. Giveaways on both days will be at the Swan Gate only.

During each inning of each game, one lucky Bisons fan will receive a BLUE JAYS AUTOGRAPHED BASEBALL from such stars as Jose Reyes, Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion or Mark Buehrle. Other in-game giveaways will include Blue Jays Tickets to see the Bisons' Major League partner play at Rogers Centre.

TICKETS and ALL NEW BLUE JAYS WEEKEND PACK

Tickets for Blue Jays Weekend, presented by Samuel Son & Co. Inc. are now on sale at Bisons.com, by calling THE-HERD at (716) 843-4373 or at the Coca-Cola Field Box Office. The Bisons have also introduced a new BLUE JAYS WEEKEND TICKET PACK that includes 2 reserved tickets to either game, $15 in Bisons Bucks, and 25% off at either Coca-Cola Field gift shop. The pack is good for either day or can be split for one person to receive tickets to each game.

MOOKIE WILSON & CECIL FIELDER

Mookie Wilson spent the final three years of his 12-year big league career with the Blue Jays. In 287 games for Toronto, Wilson hit .267 with 73 extra- base hits and 96 RBI. A World Series-Champion with the Mets in 1986, he played 1,403 Major League games and scored 731 runs while knocking in 438 more from 1980-1991.

A three-time Major League All-Star, Cecil Fielder hit 319 home runs during a 13-year playing career. A World Series champion with the Yankees in 1996, made his Major League debut with the Blue Jays in 1985 and hit 31 home runs with 84 RBI in parts of four seasons with Toronto. Fielder hit 51 home runs in 159 games with the Tigers in 1990.

AUTOGRAPH SESSION DETAILS

On Saturday, Fielder and Wilson will sign for approximately an hour starting in the 2nd inning. They will then sign from approximately 12:30pm to 1:30 pm on Sunday. Autographs will be by the Washington St. Gate. Fans will be limited to one autograph item per player.
