Calgary eliminates Colorado with an 11-6 victory

Denver, CO - Curtis Dickson, Shawn Evans and Daryl Veltman all recorded three goals to lead the Roughnecks to an 11-6 victory over the Colorado Mammoth on Saturday evening at Pepsi Center. The win eliminates Colorado from the 2015 NLL playoffs and sets the stage for a Battle of Alberta West Division final when Calgary visits the Edmonton Rush next Friday.
Sean Pollock, playing against his former team, opened the scoring for Calgary while Dane Dobbie added four assists and scored once to reach 34 career post-season goals, matching the franchise's all-time playoff record held by Tracey Kelusky.
The Mammoth received goals from Jeremy Noble (2), Joey Cupido, John Grant Jr., Eli McLaughlin and Drew Westervelt in the setback.
Frankie Scigliano had a 45-save performance to record his first career playoff win while Dillon Ward and Alex Buque combined for 40 saves for Colorado.
The Roughnecks now advance to the West Division final, opening the two-game series against the Rush on Friday, May 15 at 7:30 p.m. at Rexall Place. The series will then shift to the Scotiabank Saddledome the following weekend for Game 2 with the date and time to be announced.
