Barnstormers Travel to Billings for First-Ever Meeting

DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers (2-6) travel to take on the Billings Wolves (1-7) this Friday, May 8th. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. CDT at the MetraPark Arena in Billings, MT. The game will be available live on WHO 1040 AM and online via IFLLive.tv.
Last week, the Iowa Barnstormers were defeated 55-24 to the reigning Champion Sioux Falls Storm team. A slow start for the Barnstormers allowed the Storm to pull ahead by more than thirty points. Coming out after halftime, the Barnstormers defense limited the visiting team to only six points. A pair of back-to-back touchdowns got the Iowa team rolling, but wouldn't be enough to happen a second-half rally.
Meeting up with the Nebraska Danger for their Week 10 matchup, the Billings Wolves took the victory in an overtime battle. As the clock wound down for what could have been the game's final play, Billings tried for a long field goal, but missed leaving the score tied at 58 points apiece. In the end, the Danger would prevail 64-61 with a last-minute touchdown.
Friday's matchup in Billings will be the two teams' only during the 2015 IFL regular season. In his second week with the Barnstormers, quarterback Taylor Genuser will be familiar with the Wolves after spending the beginning of the season on the team's roster. To advance their record this weekend, the Barnstormers will need to take care of the ball on both sides of the line and execute red zone scoring opportunities.
