Jacksonville Armada FC News Release

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 6, 2015) - The Jacksonville Armada FC racked up more accolades on Wednesday as forward Alhassane Keita and attacking midfielder Marcos Flores were named to the North American Soccer League Team of the Week.

Keita, who was named NASL Player of the of Week on Monday, scored the stoppage time game-winner in the 93rd minute of the Armada FC's 2-1 victory over defending NASL champion San Antonio last Saturday in Jacksonville. Young Jamaican forward Akeil Barrett, who was an 82nd minute substitute, set up the opportunity when he juked a defender and played a through-ball to Keita in the penalty area. Moving to his left, Keita cut a shot back across goal into the side netting.

Flores had arguably his best game of the season against the Scorpions, using his creativity to affect the Armada FC's offensive flow. He notched an assist on Pascal Millien's fourth minute goal with a picture-perfect pass that rolled across the penalty area to Millien. Flores also had a strike in the 30th minute that was barely tipped out by San Antonio goalkeeper Daryl Sattler.

The Armada FC, currently standing at fifth place in the NASL table, returns to action at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday at Community First Park at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville against Indy Eleven. Tickets, starting at $10, and parking, starting at $5, can be purchased by calling 1.844.2.Armada or going to http://armadafc.com/tickets armadafc.com.
