JUPITER, Fla. - The Jupiter Hammerheads shutout the Charlotte Stone Crabs 4-0 on Tuesday night at Roger Dean Stadium. The Jupiter victory handed the Stone Crabs their first series loss of the season. Charlotte managed to leave 14 runners stranded, while going 0-9 with runners in scoring position in the loss.

Jupiter (12-14) used just two innings to put their four runs on the board. The Hammerheads started hammering in the first inning when they added their first run to the board. J.T. Riddle and Austin Dean led the inning off with back-to-back singles to put runners on the corners, and then Brian Anderson grounded into a 6-4-3 double play to allow Riddle to cross for the early 1-0 lead.

The Hammerheads were silent in the second then returned to their scoring ways with three in the third. Chris Hoo was able to get things started with a double to begin the frame. A bunt single from Yefri Perez then moved Hoo to third and put runners on the corners. Riddle reached on a fielder's choice that allowed Hoo to score the first run of the inning. Dean then followed with the second double of the inning to score Riddle and extend the Jupiter lead to three runs. Felix Munoz received the final RBI of the inning with a single to center field to score Dean to cap the scoring at four runs on the night.

Jupiter starter, Chris Sadberry (2-3) was back to winning form, picking up his first win since April 13 against Clearwater. Sadberry pitched five scoreless innings with four walks, four strikeouts and seven Charlotte hits. Sadberry's most impressive work was working out of a one-out bases loaded jam in the third without allowing a run to cross. Tyler Bremer also entered in relief in the seventh frame to work out of a similar situation with the bases loaded. Bremer only allowed one hit in 2 2/3 innings pitched with a walk and three strikeouts. C.J. Robinson also tossed a scoreless 1 1/3 innings with two walks and a strikeout for the Hammerheads.

Enny Romero (0-1) took the loss for Charlotte (16-10) in his rehab appearance. Romero gave up all four runs on six hits and two walks in five full innings while also striking out three batters. German Marquez also threw three innings in relief while only allowing two hits and fanning two Hammerheads. In an eight-hit night for the Stone Crabs, Willy Adames led the team with a 3-4 performance with one walk.

Seven of the nine Hammerheads that went to the plate finished with at least one hit in the win. Dean led the team with two hits, a run scored and RBI. Riddle also added two runs scored with a hit and RBI.
