ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Monday announced the following fines and suspensions.
Florida's Wahl fined, suspended
Florida's Mitch Wahl has been suspended indefinitely and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Playoff Game #J-2, South Carolina at Florida, on May 2.
Wahl is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions at 19:49 of the second period.
Wahl will miss the remainder of the East Division Finals vs. South Carolina and any further discipline will be announced upon the completion of the series.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Toledo's Mercier fined, suspended
Toledo's Justin Mercier has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Playoff Game #I-2, Fort Wayne at Toledo, on May 2.
Mercier is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions following an alteration at 2:45 of the third period.
Mercier will miss Toledo's playoff game at Fort Wayne on May 5.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
