North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays welcome the Florida Everblades to the North Charleston Coliseum for Game 3 of the East Division Finals tonight at 7:05. The Stingrays lead the best-of-seven series 2-0.

Game 1 Recap:

The Stingrays erupted for four goals in the second period and cruised to a 6-3 victory in Game 1 in Estero, Florida. Defenseman Marcus Perrier scored twice, forward Andrew Rowe chipped in two assists and forward Wayne Simpson added a goal and an assist.

Game 2 Recap:

Goaltender Jeff Jakaitis provided 38 saves and faced a game-high 20 shots in the third period to push the Stingrays to a 4-2 victory over the Everblades for a 2-0 series lead. Forward Andrew Rowe knocked in two goals and forward Joe Devin registered a goal and an assist.

Road Warriors:

Including the regular season, the Stingrays are 5-8-0-0 against the Everblades in 2014-15 with all five victories taking place at Germain Arena in Estero, Florida. In the postseason, the Stingrays boast a 4-1 road playoff record.

Paddling Through the Everblades in a Roweboat:

Stingrays forward and team captain Andrew Rowe leads the series with five points (two goals, three assists).

Leading the Pack:

Forward Joe Devin is tied for first in the ECHL postseason with eight goals and tied for sixth with 10 points (eight goals, two assists).

Long-Time Rivals Reunite:

Florida and South Carolina meet in the Kelly Cup Playoffs for the fifth time. The Everblades won three of the four prior series, defeating the Stingrays in the 2002 Southeast Division Wild Card Game, three games to none in the 2004 Southern Division Finals and three games to one in the 2005 Southern Conference Quarterfinals. The Stingrays won the last playoff meeting between the teams, three games to two, in the 2009 South Division Finals en route to their third Kelly Cup Championship.

Regular-Season Recap:

The Stingrays took on the Everblades 11 times in 2014-15 going 3-8-0-0. The two sides collided in the first two games of the regular season, splitting the contests, before the Everblades enjoyed a six-game winning streak. While on their record-setting second half of the season, the Stingrays earned wins in two of the last three meetings.

How We Got Here:

South Carolina Stingrays

The Stingrays defeated the Reading Royals four games to three in the opening round, scoring three goals in the final period of Game 7 to rally for a 3-2 win. The Stingrays are appearing in the second round for the first time since 2012 when they took on the Kalamazoo Wings. Forward Joe Devin, who scored two of South Carolina's three goals in the third period of Game 7, leads the team in the postseason with six goals. The Stingrays earned a 2-1 double overtime victory in Game 1, snapping the second-longest postseason losing streak (9 games: 1 game vs. Kalamazoo in 2012, 4 games vs. Gwinnett in 2013, 4 games vs. Wheeling in 2014) with their last playoff win coming on April 20, 2012 against Kalamazoo.

Florida Everblades:

The Everblades defeated the Orlando Solar Bears four games to two in the East Division Semifinals and have advanced to the second round for the ninth time in the last 12 seasons. Forward Nicolas Deschamps led the Everblades in the opening round with 10 points (three goals, seven assists) and is tied for the playoff lead while defenseman Mike Little is third among defensemen in the postseason with six points (two goals, four assists).

2015-16 Regular-Season Schedule is Here:

The Stingrays, along with the ECHL, announced the 2015-16 regular season schedule. The schedule features six new teams and a rematch of the 2009 Kelly Cup Finals against the Alaska Aces. The schedule also features 33 of 36 home games on Friday, Saturday or Sunday at the North Charleston Coliseum.
