Minnesota Swarm News Release

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota Swarm today announced that they will not renew the contracts of head coach and associate general manager Joe Sullivan, and assistant coaches Aime Caines and Rory McDade for the 2016 season.

"I want to thank Joe, Aime, and Rory as well as Bobby Keast for their efforts over the past few years," Swarm Owner and General Manager John Arlotta said. "Despite their hard work, we just haven't been able to get back to the performance of the 2012 and 2013 seasons when we made the playoffs and advanced to the Division Finals. The Swarm organization is committed to winning and simply put, we have not been able to win enough games over the past few years to continue with our current approach."

The Swarm will begin their search for a new head coach immediately. Arlotta further explained, "I intend to spend the summer looking for a head coach who can maximize the benefits of a young, fast, and athletic roster. I will leave it to our new coach to determine if any of our existing staff fit with his approach and philosophies, but I felt that it was best for him to be able to start with a clean slate."
