Amarillo, TX - The Amarillo Venom continued to serve notice Saturday night the fight for the Champions Indoor Football League championship has only just begun. The Venom took care of the Texas Revolution, 55-45 on Coors Light Field at the Amarillo Civic Center.

The win improves Amarillo to 5-3, riding a two-game winning streak entering this week's bye. Losses Saturday by Dodge City and Wichita created a logjam for first place among four teams, including Sioux City. Amarillo has two wins against Dodge City, a loss against Wichita and the lone remaining road game is against Sioux City May 30.

Venom receiver Brock Ringo had catches worthy of any 'Top 10' list during the game, ending the night with 3 touchdowns. Martee Tenner, Undra Hendrix, Percy Turner and quarterback Nate Davis all had rushing touchdowns. Davis pulled double-duty in the second half, playing defense as well, including a tackle-for-loss.

The Venom are in action again May 16 when they host the high-scoring Duke City Gladiators (3-2).
