AUGUSTA, GA: On Tuesday, April 28th the GreenJackets (9-10, 9-9) opened their second homestand of the 2015 season against the Lakewood BlueClaws (9-10, 8-10) (Philadelphia Phillies). RHP Jose Reyes (1-0 ERA 0.00) started the game for the GreenJackets and RHP Ricardo Pinto (2-0 ERA 2.42) took the mound for the BlueClaws.

RHP Jose Reyes has found his grove on the mound this season for the GreenJackets. In three starts during the 2015 season Reyes has pitched 15 innings and has not allowed a single earned run. Opposing batters have a batting average .118 and struck out 13 times against Reyes. Tuesday night, Reyes pitched another strong five innings without allowing an earned run. Reyes only allowed six hits and struck out four. BlueClaws starting pitcher Ricardo Pinto went seven innings, allowing three hits, one earned run, and most importantly took home win on Tuesday.

The GreenJackets bats were silent for the first two innings of the game until left fielder Jonah Arenado scorched a line drive to right field for a stand up triple. Andrew Cain earned his 9th RBI of the year by hitting a sacrifice fly to allow Jonah Arenado to score the first run of the game.

LHP Dusten Knight (0-1 ERA 7.36) worked his second inning of relief for the GreenJackets during the top of the seventh inning. BlueClaws batters Malquin Canelo and Cord Sandberg started of the inning with singles. Following a Rhys Hoskins hit by a pitch, BlueClaws' catcher Deivi Grullon hit a two-out-two-RBI single to take the lead. GreenJackets manager Nestor Rojas then went to his bullpen to RHP Raymundo Montero who struck out Derek Campbell to end the inning and the scoring threat.

In the top of the ninth inning Carlos Tocci reached first base on a ground ball single and went on to steal second and third bases. Tocci would score on a RBI single by Deivi Grullon. Giving the BlueClaws an insurance run heading into the bottom of the ninth inning. BlueClaws manager Shaw Williams turned to this right-handed closer Matt Hockenberry in the bottom of the ninth inning. Hockenberry retired the side and secured the three to one victory for the Lakewood BlueClaws and his fourth save of the season.

The GreenJackets and BlueClaws will be back in action tomorrow night Wednesday, April 29th. GreenJackets LHP Matt Gage (1-1 ERA 4.32) and BlueClaws LHP Josh Taylor (0-1 ERA 4.80) are expected to be the starting pitchers. Wednesday nights are Georgia Natural Gas Baseball Bingo at Lake Olmstead Stadium.
