April 28, 2015 - Northwest League (NWL1)
Vancouver Canadians News Release

(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, B.C.) - The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club has announced the remaining members of the 2015 Superstar Series presented by Blakes & The BC Sports Hall of Fame.

17-year Major League Baseball veteran Devon White will make his first appearance at Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium on Tuesday, August 11th at 7:05pm as the Canadians host the Everett Aquasox.

White, a three-time All-Star, played with the California Angels for the first six years of his career before he was traded to Toronto (1990) as part of a six-player trade that gave the Blue Jays one of the American League's most potent outfields.

As part of the Blue Jays back-to-back World Series Championships (1992-93), White played five seasons with Toronto before finding his way to Florida where in 1997 he would help the Marlins to the franchise's first title, giving White his third and final ring.

Pat Hentgen will make his Superstar Series appearance out at Scotiabank Field on Monday, August 17th at 7:05pm as the Canadians host Tri-City.

Drafted and developed within the Blue Jays organization, Hentgen would make his MLB debut at just 22 years of age and quickly become one of the franchise's most valuable arms over his decade long tenure in Toronto.

A three-time All-Star, Hentgen would become the first Blue Jay in franchise history to win a Cy Young Award (1996) after the native of Detroit, MI went 20-10 for Toronto with a 3.22 ERA and 265.2 innings pitched. Hentgen was on the 1993 World Series Champion roster as the Blue Jays topped the Philadelphia Phillies in six games.

Devon White and Pat Hentgen join Tony Fernandez (June 30) and Tommy John (July 13) on the roster for the upcoming 2015 Superstar Series presented by Blakes and The BC Sports Hall of Fame.

The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club open the 2015 home schedule on Friday, June 26th, 2015 as they welcome the defending Northwest League Champions from Hillsboro starting at 7:05pm out at historic Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium.
