Louisville, KY (April 23, 2015) - Following a dramatic 1-1 draw with Pittsburgh last Sunday, Louisville City FC enters its fifth game of the regular season against another new USL franchise and member of the Western Conference, the Tulsa Roughnecks. Louisville City will be looking to stay unbeaten and climb the ladder in the Eastern Conference standings when the two clubs meet on Saturday at 7:30 at Louisville Slugger Field.

The Roughnecks (1-2-1 4pts) will come into the match with much momentum after a 4-3 victory over Seattle Sounders II. It was a match in which 4 different Tulsa players scored and broke a two-match scoreless streak for the Roughnecks, quadrupling their scoring output all season. With the solid performance versus Seattle, Louisville City head coach, James O'Connor, knows his team will be presented with a tough challenge come Saturday evening.

"Tulsa's going to be a big game for us," O'Connor said. "They have multiple players over six feet. They are a big team, so it's going to be a very physical game for us, but we're looking forward to it."

Louisville City FC (1-0-3 6pts) has been one of the most effective defensive teams in the league. Only Rochester and Orange County have surrendered fewer goals than Lou City's three. All three of Louisville's allowed goals have come from direct kicks or within the same sequence. The offense has slowed down a bit for the first year team. They went 91 minutes without a goal on Sunday at Pittsburgh before Kadeem Dacres leveled things with a superb strike. Even with goals coming in every match so far this season, O'Connor believes his team has missed opportunities to score.

"At times we have passages where we show the players, the play has been pleasing," O'Connor said. "We just need to see more of it, for a longer period, and then just finish."

With both teams looking for three points early in the season and Saturday being the first weekend night game in club history, it has the makings of a classic showdown between clubs of Eastern and Western Conferences.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

TULSA: Gibson Bardsley is tied for 6th for most shots taken per game with three and has one of Tulsa's five goals on the season. He was also named to the USL Team of the Week in Week 2.

LOUISVILLE: Matt Fondy is Lou City's go to scorer at the center-forward position. The striker scored five times in the preaseason but has yet to find the back of the net in the regular season. However, most know it is only a matter of time.
