In the space of 48 hours, the RockHounds were shut out Saturday night at Northwest Arkansas ... rained out Sunday at North Little Rock ... and shut out again (this time by the Arkansas Travelers, 16-0, in the first game of a Monday double-header). Four games into their six-game road trip, the 'Hounds had dropped three straight games and had been out-scored 21-0 in their last two. All that changed over the next 27 hours.

The RockHounds followed Monday's game two shutout (3-0) with a 9-3 win Tuesday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. The victory gave the 'Hounds a 2-games-to-1 series win over the Travelers, who entered the game with the league's best record (8-3) and a 3-3 road trip.

Chad Oberacker, Colin Walsh, Bruce Maxwell and Jaycob Brugman each had three hits in a 13-hit attack, and Chris Jensen improved to a perfect 3-0 for the season, pitching into the seventh inning. The 'Hounds built a 4-0 lead and held off a two Arkansas rallies (the Travelers had the go-ahead run at the plate in the third and seventh) before scoring four times in the eighth to put the game away.

Kibbles & Bits

- WHIFFS 'R' US: Beginning with Saturday night's game at Northwest Arkansas, the RockHounds and their opponents combined to strike out seventy-six (76) batters in 31 innings ('Hounds pitchers whiffed 39 and the Naturals and Travelers combined for 37).

- Jaycob Brugman entered Monday's double-header with two hits in 25 at bats for the season. After going 3-for-6 with an RBI double in the double-dip, Jaycob went 3-for-5 with an RBI triple and a run scored Tuesday night, finishing the Arkansas series 6-for-11.

- Chris Jensen went six or more innings for the 22nd time in his last 29 starts as a RockHound. The 2014 Texas League All-Star allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits and three walks, striking out seven. He joins Tulsa's Chris Anderson as the league's first three-game winners.

- Chad Oberacker has reached base in all 11 games in which he has played, and his 3-for-5 night Tuesday (including his second home run of the season, a towering drive to right field in the fifth inning), brings his batting average to .441. "Obie" now leads the Texas League in batting (by one point over Corey Seager, the Los Angeles Dodgers' # 1 prospect), and has a team-leading 10 RBI. He also leads the league in both slugging (.765) and on-base percentage (.512).

- After seeing his (two-season) 34-game on-base streak end in Monday's double-header (0-for-8 in the two games), Colin Walsh went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, one run scored and three RBI. Colin is hitting .333 for the season with a .453 OBP.
