Stampede's 200,000 Fan Attends Game Sunday Night

Sioux Falls, SD-The Sioux Falls Stampede welcomed their 200,000 fan of the season through the doors Sunday night in Game 4 of their Western Conference Semifinal series against Sioux City. Griffin Davis entered as number 200,000 prior to puck drop. Griffin was given a seat upgrade of four ice seats to the game and was recognized on the video board during the game. The Stampede had a crowd of 5,248 at the game and have had 201,776 total fans come through the PREMIER Center doors in 32 contests this season.
"It was an exciting moment for the club," said Stampede CEO and President Tom Garrity. "Being a playoff game made that it even more special. The fan support has been unbelievable this season and it has continued into the playoffs. We can't say thank you enough to all of Stampede Country along with our housing families and corporate partners, it has been a very special year."
Sioux Falls set a USHL single season attendance record by drawing 191,280 fans in 30 home games during the regular season and led the league averaging 6,376 fans per-game. Outside the USHL, the Herd ranked in the top four in attendance amongst all 28 ECHL teams ("AA" professional hockey), sixth in all of 59 Division I college hockey programs and seventh among all 30 American Hockey League (AHL) teams, the top affiliate league of the NHL.
The Stampede travel to Sioux City Tuesday night for Game 5 of their Western Conference Semifinal series against the Musketeers. The winner of the game advances to the Western Conference Final while the loser will see their season come to an end. Game time Tuesday is 7:05 PM. The Stampede are sending a fan bus down to the game to cheer on the Herd. The cost is just $30 and includes transportation to and from the game and your game ticket.
