Houston Dash News Release

PISCATAWAY, NJ (Saturday, April 18, 2015) - The Houston Dash visit Sky Blue FC tonight at 6 p.m. CT at Yurcak Field. Tonight's game will be broadcast live via YouTube at HoustonDashSoccer.com/live. Game notes for the Dash are attached.

This is the first of three meetings between the teams, with the Dash returning to New Jersey on May 31 and Sky Blue visiting Houston on August 7. Sky Blue won two out of three meetings in 2014.

Both teams enter the match after winning their opening weekend matches. The Dash recorded a 2-0 win at BBVA Compass Stadium on April 10 against the Washington Spirit behind goals from Carli Lloyd and Kealia Ohai. Sky Blue FC upset reigning NWSL champions FC Kansas City on the road 1-0 with a goal from Nadia Nadim.

Canadian national team players Erin McLeod, Lauren Sesselmann and Allysha Chapman have joined the Dash in New Jersey and will be available for selection after missing the opening night win. The trio will rejoin Canada following tonight's match, but will return for the Dash home game on May 2.

Sky Blue opens their home schedule tonight riding a six-game winning streak dating back to last season. Nadim has been a key to that run, scoring eight goals in her seven NWSL appearances. SBFC also includes U.S. Women's National Team players Kelley O'Hara and Christie Rampone, who were both recently named to the final U.S. squad for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup along with Dash players Morgan Brian, Carli Lloyd and Meghan Klingenberg.

After tonight's match, the Dash travel to the Boston Breakers on April 26 before returning to BBVA Compass Stadium to face FC Kansas City on May 2. Individual tickets for the match start at just $15 and are available at HoustonDashSoccer.com or by calling (713) 276-GOAL.
