Eagles Fall in Game 2 to Reign, 4-1 ONTARIO, Calif. -The Colorado Eagles (1-1-0-0) will leave California with newly-gained home-ice advantage despite dropping Game Two to the Ontario Reign (1-1-0-0), 4-1, Friday night at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

Ontario would strike first in Game Two as forward Matt White fired home a one-timer from the center of the Eagles' zone, giving the Reign the 1-0 advantage 3:20 into the game. After losing the battle at the far blue line, Colorado found themselves on the short end of a short-handed rush as Reign forward Rocco Carzo tapped home an easy goal on a cross-ice pass from teammate Judd Blackwater with 3:28 remaining in the first period.

Colorado would find revenge on the short hand, as forward Derek Rodwell came streaking down the ice on a breakaway before beating Reign goaltender Joe Cannata five-hole, crawling within one, 2-1, with four minutes remaining in the second.

After an early exit from Cannata due to injury, netminder Jussi Olkinuora took over the duties for Ontario. With just over seven minutes remaining, Everett Sheen came bolting out of the penalty box, resulting in a breakaway goal to put the Reign back up by two, 3-1. With the goaltender pulled, Colorado mishandled the puck at the blue line resulting in an easy breakaway goal from Ontario forward Gary Nunn.

With the 4-1 victory, Ontario evened the first round series at one game apiece. The Eagles and Reign travel to Colorado for games three, four, and five starting on Sunday.
