Bantz Returns to Jacksonville; Krist to Jupiter

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Miami Marlins announced a pair of transactions that impact their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to tonight's game against the Montgomery Biscuits at Bragan Field at 7:05 p.m.
Catcher Brandon Bantz has been transferred from Triple-A New Orleans to Jacksonville. Bantz began the season with the Suns where he was 0-for-7 at the plate in a pair of starts. After being called up to the Zephyrs Monday, Bantz did not see any playing time with New Orleans.
In a corresponding move, catcher Chadd Krist has been transferred from the Suns to High-A Jupiter. Called up on Monday to replace Bantz, Krist did not see any playing time with Jacksonville.
The Suns roster now stands at 24 active players, and a revised roster is attached.
The Suns and Biscuits will square off for the third game of the series from Bragan Field Friday with a first pitch set for 7:05 p.m. ET. The Suns will send out right-hander Kendry Flores (1-0, 1.80 ERA) to the mound and he'll be opposed by Montgomery righty Jared Mortensen (0-0, 1.50 ERA).
