Amerks Holding Fan Appreciation Night Presented by Tops on Friday
April 16, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Rochester Americans News Release
(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans will hold Fan Appreciation Night presented by Tops Friendly Markets during the team's final regular season home game tomorrow night (Friday, April 17) at The Blue Cross Arena versus the Utica Comets at 7:05 p.m. Gates open to the public at 6:00 p.m. and fans are encouraged to arrive early to avoid lines.
All tickets to the game are available for just $12. Prior to the game, Buffalo Sabres captain and Rochester native Brian Gionta will sign autographs from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. in the upper atrium. The annual pregame team awards ceremony will begin shortly before 7:00 p.m.
To accommodate as many fans seeking Gionta autographs as possible in the allotted time frame, the first 200 fans in line will receive a ticket allowing them to secure an autograph, while a "one item per person" policy will be in place.
As a way of thanking Amerks fans for the tremendous support they have once again shown the team this season, the Amerks will be giving away great prizes during the game, with select fans receiving the "jerseys off the backs" of the players following the game. The first 7,500 fans in attendance will receive a 2014-15 Amerks Team Poster courtesy of Tops Friendly Markets. In addition, the Amerks Team Store presented by ADPRO Sports will be offering a 40% discount on all Amerks and Sabres merchandise, including jerseys, during the game (sale does not include used equipment).
Tops is offering a special ticket deal for its customers on Fan Appreciation Night. Any fan that shows their Tops BonusPlus Card at The Blue Cross Arena Box Office will be able to purchase tickets to the game for just $10 each. Fan Appreciation Night is also a $5 parking night in the Civic Center Garage, which represents a $3 savings off the regular cost of game-night parking.
Fan Appreciation Night will kick off with an Amerks Happy Hour, where fans 21 and over can enjoy live music and $2 Molson and Coors Light drafts in the Upper Atrium Bar from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The band Something Else will perform live during the Happy Hour as well as during the first intermission.
Just prior to the game, there will be a special recognition for the 50th anniversary of the Amerks' first Calder Cup championship, while the 2014-15 Team Awards will be presented, including the Most Valuable Player, Most Improved Player, Rob Zabelny Unsung Hero and the Fairand O'Neil Sportsmanship Award. The winner of the "Tops 7th Man-Fan of the Year" will also be recognized while the winners of the Amerks Booster Club Awards, such as Rookie of the Year and Most Popular Player, will be announced.
