ATLANTA, April 15, 2015 - The WNBA Atlanta Dream announced today that it has entered into a partnership with the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, which will serve as the Presenting Partner and Host of the Dream's WNBA Draft Party on Thursday, April 16. The draft party, which will be held for Dream Elite Members, corporate, community and strategic partners, and other invited guests, will begin at 6 p.m. prior to the start of the draft, which can be seen at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.

"We're honored to partner with the Atlanta Marriott Marquis around our WNBA Draft Party, Inspiring Women Platform and other signature events for the Dream organization," said Dream President and General Manager Angela Taylor. "This partnership will allow us to continue to support the ongoing efforts to celebrate the amazing events that take place at beautiful venues in downtown Atlanta like the Marriott Marquis, while connecting with our fans and community partners on a year-round basis around some exciting programming."

"We are excited to forge this partnership with the Atlanta Dream," said Meinrad (Rad) Lang III, Director of Sales & Marketing for the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. "Both the Marriott Marquis and the Dream are committed to programming that has a positive impact and affects change in the community. We look forward to utilizing our first-rate facilities to host Dream events and help further their causes."

As part of the partnership, the Marriott Marquis will host events in conjunction with the Dream's Inspiring Women platform, as well as other signature programs. The Marriott Marquis will also serve as an official partner for the Dream's Heritage Series games, which celebrate the diversity of the Dream's team and fan base.

Through the Dream Cares platform, Dream assets will also be used to support Marriott's involvement with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, which raises funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that provide 32 million treatments each year to kids across the U.S. and Canada. The partnership will help provide Dream experiences for children, including courtside seats at a game, serving as a guest coach or a special guest at a practice or shootaround, and presenting them with gifts and on-court recognition.
