SEATTLE (April 15, 2015) - Seattle Reign FC forward Megan Rapinoe has been voted the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) Player of the Week by the media for Week 1 of the 2015 NWSL season.

Rapinoe, 29, scored her first NWSL career hat-trick on Sunday, April 12 as Reign FC defeated Western New York Flash 5-1 in the season opener on Moda Pitch and Memorial Stadium. In addition to her three goals, Rapinoe also notched the assist on midfielder Jess Fishlock's opening goal of the match. Catch all the highlights from the match.

The Redding, Calif. native scored her first goal of the game in the 70th minute when she rose above her defender and headed a powerful cross from forward Merritt Mathias into the back of the net, giving Reign FC a 3-1 lead over the Flash.

Four minutes later, Rapinoe scored her second goal when she was able to head the ball into the goal after Flash goalkeeper Sabrina D'Angelo initially saved the first attempt by Fishlock.

The U.S. international completed her hat-trick in the 86th minute of the match with a beautiful give and go pass from Fishlock, giving Seattle a total of five goals - four of which were scored in the second half.
