Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats (5-2) made it a 2-1 series when they downed the Brandon Wheat Kings (6-2), 3-2, at the Brandt Centre in game three of the Eastern Conference Semi-Final.

Game Story
In the first, Jared McAmmond received a beautiful pass at the Wheat Kings ' blue line from Nathyn Mortlock. McAmmond went glove-side on Jordan Papirny to put the Pats ahead, 1-0. Wheat Kings forward Stelio Mattheos tied the game up with less than five minutes to go in the frame. Carter Hansen ' s point shot hit the post, off Papirny, and trickled over the goal line to give the Pats a 2-1 lead in the second. Moments later, the Blue and White ' s Jesse Gabrielle scored his second of the playoffs to add some insurance. Peter Quenneville added a late power play goal to narrow the Pats ' lead heading into the second intermission. Pats goaltender Daniel Wapple was sensational in the third, and paramount in ensuring the Pats ' 3-2 win over the Wheat Kings.
Quick Hits
Game three marked the first time the Pats played hockey at the Brandt Centre in 16 days. Their last home game was Sat., Mar. 28 versus the Swift Current Broncos. Pats defenseman James Hilsendager returned to the lineup after serving a three-game suspension.
Jared McAmmond scored his first career playoff goal, which doubled as his first ever post-season point.

The Pats look to even up the series in game four, which takes place tomorrow night at the Brandt Centre. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. puck drop. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.ca, the Brandt Centre Box Office and Safeway locations throughout Regina.
