(Peterborough, ON)- The Peterborough Petes are excited to announce that nine players selected by the team in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection presented by State Farm have been chosen to play in the annual OHL Gold Cup tournament from May 7 to 10 in Kitchener.

The 2015 OHL Gold Cup will feature the top 1999-born players in Ontario competing in an eight team tournament with representation from ALLIANCE Hockey, the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL), Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO), Hockey Northwestern Ontario (HNO), Northern Ontario Hockey Association (NOHA), and the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA).
Hockey Canada staff will be on hand to evaluate and identify players suitable for the Program of Excellence which is designed to prepare hockey players for the World Junior Hockey Championship, World Hockey Championship and Olympics Games. Players at the OHL Gold Cup will hope to crack Canada's roster for the 2015 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge later this year.
