A's Season Ends at the Hands of the Express

Orangeville A's News Release

WINDSOR, On. - The Brampton A's hit the hardwood against the Windsor Express Sunday afternoon, for the decisive game seven of the Central Division Finals with the winner advancing to the NBL Canada Finals.

The A's looked favourable offensively, as Zane Johnson hit 5-of-5 from long distance within the first eight minutes of play. Despite the A's catching fire early on, Windsor went on a 10-0 run at the end of the first stint to spark a 35 point lead.

In a testy first half, the A's found their momentum impeded by a 61 percent field goal shooting performance by the Express. Z. Johnson ended the half with 23 points, while Akeem Scott grabbed six rebounds.

After the tone was set by the defending champs, Brampton did not have enough ammunition to make a run and challenge the home team. Z. Johnson concluded the game with 29 points, while Scott finished with 26.

This concludes the A's 2014-15 NBL Canada season. After an 0-5 start, Brampton ended their season with an overall record of 24-19.
