Rangers Select Meireles 12th Overall

Kitchener Rangers General Manger Murray Hiebert announced today that the team has selected Greg Meireles with the 12th overall pick in the 2015 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection, presented by State Farm.
Meireles is a creative centre with great speed who recorded 41 points in 24 games with the Ottawa 67's Minor Midget team in 2014-15. Described by Rangers scouts as a defensively-minded two-way player, he added five goals and nine assists in 10 postseason games.
