Ice Bears' Sicard Nets Double OT Winner

Knoxville, TN - The Knoxville Ice Bears punched their ticket to the SPHL President Cup Finals with a 5-4 win off a Denis Sicard's double OT winner. The win eliminated the surging Louisiana IceGators with a 2-0 series win.
A championship caliber crowd of 3,461 erupted when Sicard, a late season addition stuffed the puck between the post and the outstretched leg of goaltender Scott Deibold at 11:50 of the game's 5th period.
The game would not have seen extra time if it wasn't for Berkley Scott's game tying goal at 18:51 of the third period.
Knoxville additionally got points from Ben Power, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Knoxville included Sy Nutkevitch, and Eric Satim, who also each put in one. In addition, Knoxville received assists from Francis Drolet, who had two and Robbie Donahoe, Ryan Hill, and Brett Valliquette, each chipped in one.
Bryan Hince turned aside 49 shots of the 53 shots on goal for Knoxville.
