Sixth Annual Pooch Party Set for Sunday
April 9, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Charlotte Checkers News Release
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers today announced details surrounding their sixth annual Pooch Party, presented by Banfield Pet Hospital, which is set to take place during this Sunday's 1 p.m. game against the Rockford IceHogs.
All fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to the event, which this season coincides with the final home game of the 2014-15 season and the Checkers' last-ever game at Time Warner Cable Arena before moving to Bojangles' Coliseum next season.
Fans who wish to bring dogs must purchase $16 tickets in a special dog-friendly corner section of the arena using the link found at gocheckers.com/pooch. Dogs themselves will not need a game ticket unless their owners would prefer to have an additional seat's worth of space.
Dog owners must also complete a liability and registration form that can be obtained upon entering the game at the Pooch Party entrance off Trade St. or in advance by visiting gocheckers.com/pooch.
The Checkers will donate a portion of the proceeds from tickets sold by three beneficiaries - Rescue Ranch, Project Halo and Great Dane Friends - back to those organizations.
