Admirals Release MacMillan from PTO

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals announced that the American Hockey League (AHL) club released forward Alex MacMillan from his professional tryout contract (PTO).
MacMillan, 25, appeared in six games for the Admirals this year after being initially signed on March 25, and went scoreless in his tenure while accruing two penalty minutes. In 2014-15, MacMillan made his professional debut with Norfolk ' s ECHL affiliate, the Utah Grizzlies, where he notched two assists. The Calgary, Alberta native also spent four years with the American International College, totaling 79 points (36 goals, 43 assists) in 118 contests.
The Admirals play the first of a three-game road trip tonight against the Binghamton Senators, with puck drop set for 7:05 p.m.
