Hartford Wolf Pack News Release

The Wolf Pack (38-23-5-4, 85 pts.) won two of their three games this week, pulling off third period comebacks at home both Friday and Saturday nights, against two of the AHL's top teams. The Wolf Pack dropped a 4-3 decision at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Wednesday night, and were down by two goals three separate times in Friday night's home battle with Northeast Division-leading Syracuse. A season-high five-goal outburst in the third period, though, led by a pair of Marek Hrivik goals, propelled the Pack to a 6-4 win over the Crunch. Then on Saturday night against the AHL leaders, the Manchester Monarchs, the Wolf Pack rebounded from a 2-0 third-period deficit, on a pair of Oscar Lindberg goals in the last 5:05 of regulation, and eventually won in a shootout, 3-2. The two victories lifted the Wolf Pack to a season-best 15 games over the .500 mark, and to within four points of Syracuse for first place in the Northeast.
