Bensenville, IL - Four games remain and the Bloomington Thunder head to Bensenville to take on the Chicago Steel for the final time in 2014-15. Puck drop is 7:30 pm CST from the Edge Ice Arena as the Thunder continue their six game road trip. The Thunder and Steel are tied for fifth place in the standings with 57 points, with Chicago holding the current tiebreaker. Bloomington leads the head to head matchup 4-1-0.

Bloomington is coming off a three game road trip from Green Bay to Waterloo. The Thunder went 1-2-0 on the trip, losing the final two games to the Sioux Falls Stampede and the Black Hawks. Assistant Captain Matt Mendelson (Penn State University) leads the team in points with a USHL career high of 37 (14g, 23a) in 51 games played. Blake Gober and Shane Bednard (Bowling Green State University) have each grabbed points in back to back games to lead the team in their last trip. Goaltender Logan Halladay (University of Minnesota) has held down the fort for the team in the crease, going 4-2-0 in his last six starts. In that span, the Cary, NC native has put up a 2.64 GAA and a .908 SVPT.
Chicago has been at the side of the Thunder in the standings for a majority of the season. The Steel are led by 2014 Chicago Blackhawks draft pick Fredrik Olofsson (University of Nebraska-Omaha, Chicago Blackhawks) and Mason Bergh (Colorado College) who each have 56 points. Olofsson has grabbed six points (2g, 4a) in his last three games and has points in 12 of his last 15 games. Despite being out of the post season, the two scorers are tied for ninth in the United States Hockey League's scoring race. Goaltender Trevor Gorsuch has played the most games since the trade deadline but since joining the Steel, Lassi Yrjola has the better numbers at 11-7-1 with a 3.04 GAA and a .907 SVPT.
Next Home Game: It's the final game of the 2014-15 season for the Bloomington Thunder and it's Fan Appreciation Night. Tons of prizes will be handed out to fans at the game and every fan will walk away from the game as a winner.
