Spokane Chiefs News Release
SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs announced today that Friday's home game versus the Everett Silvertips - Game 4 of their first round WHL Playoffs series - will be broadcast live on SWX in the Spokane region. The game will also feature a special silent auction on the main concourse at Spokane Arena, featuring an assortment of rare items including game-worn and autographed jerseys.
The television broadcast will begin at 7 p.m. on SWX, the sister station to KHQ-6 NBC. SWX is available on Comcast channel 112 (HD), 306 (SD) and over-the-air channel 6.2. Former Chief Kevin Sawyer will join Dennis Patchin and John Collett on the call.
The silent auction on the concourse will take place throughout the pre-game and part of the game, with proceeds going to Chiefs Care, which helps raise money for the continuing education of Chiefs' players.
Items to be included in the auction include, but are not limited to: a signed Tyler Johnson Tampa Bay Lightning replica jersey and signed "Chiefs Red" red wine; a Liam Stewart Chiefs replica jersey signed by Liam along with parents Rod Stewart and Rachel Hunter; game-worn Brenden Kichton, Barry Brust and Michael Grabner Chiefs jerseys; and Breast Cancer Awareness helmets from the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons.
For every year of hockey played with the Chiefs, each player is guaranteed one year of post-secondary tuition and administrative expenses at a post-secondary institution of their choice. Players also receive the opportunity to take college courses while playing with the Chiefs. All education costs are covered by the Spokane Chiefs using funds generated in part by Chiefs Care.
Tickets for Game 4 on Friday at Spokane Arena are available at the Chiefs' Ticket Office, over the phone at (509) 535-PUCK and (800) 325-SEAT, via TicketsWest outlets and online at www.ticketswest.com.
