CHICAGO - Sky Cares, the 501(c)(3) non-profit arm of the Chicago Sky, will host its Inaugural Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, June 15th at the Wilmette Golf Club. The event will feature a golf tournament, banquet and silent auction and will provide a unique opportunity for participants to meet Sky coaches, players and executives, as well as network with other Sky corporate sponsors and members of the local business community.

"It is with great excitement that we announce our first-ever charity golf tournament benefitting Sky Cares," said Sky President and CEO Adam Fox. "This fun and relaxing day on the course will bring together individuals and businesses with shared community values in a team effort to raise funds so we can continue to make a difference in the Chicago-land area."

The 4-player scramble event begins with registration at 12 p.m. CT followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. CT. Participants will have the opportunity to enter various contests held in conjunction with the tournament including Hole-in-One, Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and Beat the Pro against LPGA Touring Professional Nicole Jeray. Prizes will be awarded to winners from each competition. Following the tournament, there will be an awards ceremony and recognition dinner. A silent auction offering sports memorabilia and entertainment experiences will also be held with additional raffles for gift baskets and door prizes.

The cost is $175 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, range balls, a cart, dinner, games and prizes. Corporate and individual golfer packages are available, in addition to various sponsorships opportunities. The Sky Cares Foundation welcomes any, and all, businesses and organizations to participate and sponsor the event, which is the foundation's primary fundraiser in 2015. All proceeds will directly benefit the foundation in their efforts to make a difference in the community and inspire future generations.
