Rebels Get Past Tigers 2-1

After the Tigers pulled out a pair of one goal wins at home, the scene shifted to the Enmax Centrium in Red Deer for game three of this WHL Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series.
FIRST PERIOD
After killing off an early penalty the Rebels opened the scoring in this one. Scott Feser collected the rebound from a Kayle Doetzel point shot and beat Marek Langhamer for his first goal of the series. Connor Gay also assisted on the 1-0 goal 12:10 into the game.
SECOND PERIOD
The Tigers had three powerplays in the middle frame, including a brief 5-on-3, but the Rebels penalty killers came through to preserve their 1-0 lead.
THIRD PERIOD
Red Deer pulled ahead 2-0 8:34 into the third period when Grayson Pawlenchuk led a 2-on-0 and set up Wyatt Johnson for his first goal of the series. Presten Kopeck picked up the second assist on the goal.
Medicine Hat pulled back within a goal at 11:53 when Cole Sanford beat Rylan Toth for his second goal of the series, 2-1 Rebels.
The Tigers pressed but were unable to break through for the game tying goal. The Rebels held on for a 2-1 win to cut the Tigers lead in the series to 2-1.
