NEWARK, N.Y. - Four players from the Division I Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) will join the Newark Pilots for the 2015 Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) season.

The Pilots announce the signing of infielder Ryan Lynch and outfielder Frankie Gregoire from Marist College along with pitchers Vinny Martin and Patrick Ryan from Iona College.

Lynch is a freshman for the Red Foxes, and has made 14 appearances with nine starts so far this spring. The Portsmouth, R.I., native is batting at a .270 clip with two RBIs and four run scored. His .386 on-base percentage is the third-highest on the team. He started all three games at second base in the season-opening series against No. 1 Virginia, driving in his first collegiate run in the second game of the series on Feb. 21. Against Radford in Game 2 of a doubleheader on March 15, Lynch went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base. He went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI in an extra-inning win over Iona on March 29.

Gregoire is a Marist commit who will be a freshman for the Red Foxes in 2016. He is currently enrolled in prep school at the Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, N.H., where he will play for the Big Red this spring. During his senior season at Simsbury High School in Simsbury, Conn., Gregoire helped the Trojans reach the state semifinals. He posted a .460 batting average with three home runs, 15 RBIs, 10 runs scored and eight stolen bases as a senior. Gregoire earned All-Central Connecticut Conference honors in both his junior and senior seasons while at Simsbury.

Martin has a 1-1 record in 10 appearances out of the Iona bullpen this season. The 6-2 sophomore has eight strikeouts in 12.0 innings pitched. He began the season with 1.2 scoreless innings with two strikeouts against Missouri on Feb. 13. The right-hander earned his victory with 2.0 innings of relief against Lehigh University on Feb. 27. He also had scoreless outings with an inning of work against Navy on March 8 and 1.1 innings with two strikeouts against Fordham on March 25. The Yonkers, N.Y., native pitched in nine games in relief as a freshman, striking out eight in 15.2 innings.

A freshman from Staten Island, N.Y., Ryan will be joining his Iona teammate at Colburn Park this summer. The 6-4, 200-pound righty has made five appearances for the Gaels so far as a rookie, fanning six in 7.1 innings pitched. He made his collegiate debut with 1.2 inning against Missouri on Feb. 14. He worked 1.1 innings of relief against Hartford on Feb. 21 and fanned three batters in 2.0 innings, both season highs, against Rutgers on March 11. Ryan also threw a scoreless frame against Wofford on March 15.
